UW IT Software Licensing Team maintains a multi-year Enterprise Contract with Adobe. The end-user does not need to do anything to renew the license.

Shared Device license – Creative Cloud Suite (all applications) Named user license – Creative Cloud Suite (all applications) Pricing for renewals beginning in July 2021 are : License Type Perpetual licenses for other products are also available there. If you are looking for the non-subscription (perpetual) license of Adobe Acrobat Pro, you can purchase it from CDW-G through UW E-Procurement / Ariba. It is your personal account. Do NOT use UW NetID and/or UW email address to create your personal Adobe ID. If you do not have Adobe “named user” license purchased via UW IT, you must sign in with “Adobe ID”. A free Adobe ID is issued by Adobe and is not related to the University of Washington.A user with an existing Adobe named user license purchased via UW IT should use an “Enterprise ID”( Company or School) option to sign-in on the device with Adobe Shared Device License.Shared Device licenses are NOT available for individual applications.Īdobe Shared Device License – user experience.All devices with Adobe SDL that you ha ve purchased and activated must appear in your Adobe Admin Console profile.Send an email with the subject “ Adobe Device license re-assign” to Software Licensing Team can help to re-assign the license to a different device. Once activated, the shared device license cannot be used on a different computer.Note: Adobe “Lightroom” does not work with the Shared Device License. UW-IT Software Licensing Team will work with you on provisioning. If you need Adobe SDL, you must become a “profile administrator” for your set of devices and you will create installation packages for your group in the Adobe Admin Console. Shared Device licenses (SDL) are available for a lab or other shared computer environment and can be installed only on a single device where the application(s) is/are available to all users of that device. The Named user license holder will need to log into Adobe applications using their UW NetID credentials.Named user licenses cannot be assigned to a shared UW NetID.The Named user license is assigned to an individual and is only available to that user, and it may be installed on up to two devices. There are no refunds, however, we can transfer a license to another user upon request.The license period runs from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022. The Adobe Creative Cloud Suite is available as an annual subscription.
